Using MS Picture It! Premium 10
Published on December 8, 2005 By SSG Geezer In Photography
Since I am too cheap to buy Photoshop, and don't feel like being a pirate I picked up Microsoft's picture It! 10. I took a few shots and practiced a few tricks like cutting my face out of the picture below, and then manipulating a few of their simple tools for fun. Making a photo collage was not simple, but I do have a problem using the help menus at times. Hard to find out the info you want without wading through lots of simplistic crap.
Not that the help files are bad, I just have bad luck trying to find things in them. (Operator headspace )
HAs anyone else had any experience with PI! 10?

Here is the original photo after cropping and adding text and a border. then the others are just with effects added.

He even looks cool shifted in hue! Link

The only problem with having him on my shoulder is that he is growing like a weed and will climb up when I a sitting in the bathroom. Strange indeed.

I use Photoshop Elements.  It's perfect for touching up and being able to be creative with pictures.  What it lacks is all the tools to create new images (non-photo images).  There are not all the drawing tools and layer selection tools that full photoshop has.  Elements is also under $100.  I have a feeling that the MS product that you bought is much like since...well...MS tends to be "inspired" by other software.

"Inspired"
That's a nice way to put it.

GIMP is free! Google it. Sure, it might take you a while to figure out how to use it, but its very functional in the abstract.

PS
I hope you are well. I have your silverwear. I hold it hostage for your soul. Mwhahaha!

I understand. Our shoulder cat is the 15 pounder, who never jumps more than half-way up and then climbs the rest of the way. And I've misplaced the claw clippers.........

Dear Lord, the old man's posting again. Now I've got to go back and edit my links, read the back-posts, etc.

It must be the crisp, clean smell of West Texas air in the morning that did it. The smell of cow poo on a San Angelo winter morn would drive anyone back inside to their computer.

And cute cat by the way, like the name.

It doesn't smell like cow crap where I live. I live just west of the base. Now Cat farts, I get here.

Heh heh.....just west of base? Give it time. I know very well that the smell gets there too. Maybe not today, maybe not tommorow, but someday, and soon.
