Undocumented Pipes Cause Pressure! Dude! Don’t You Bathe? For the last 7 days a lot of the folks here in San Angelo, Texas have suffered from a crisis caused by either no water pressure or very low, non-potable water pressure due to a supply pipe breaking, forcing the state to bring out the water tankers to ensure that the citizens of our fair city have drinkable water. It seems that a large diameter pipe decided to give up the ghost last Friday evening causing about 60% of town to los...

New news from a slightly less trafficed gaming website I enjoy reading. The reviewer was not one of the folks who received the Gamma for review but still thought highly enough of GC II that he put up the review here Link His review also said glowing things about the Stardock crew and their dedication to supporting the users of their products. Now we just have to wait till the 21st! Another week! It's not fair!

Since I am too cheap to buy Photoshop, and don't feel like being a pirate I picked up Microsoft's picture It! 10. I took a few shots and practiced a few tricks like cutting my face out of the picture below, and then manipulating a few of their simple tools for fun. Making a photo collage was not simple, but I do have a problem using the help menus at times. Hard to find out the info you want without wading through lots of simplistic crap. Not that the help files are bad, I just have...

Scene from the community center last week.... Me: "HI! My name is Geezer, and I am an addict." Group: "Hi Geezer!" Me: "It all started when I was 5 and my mom gave me my first taste, she put some milk and sugar in it to make it more like a treat." Group : "She did that when you were 5? That sounds like child abuse!" Me: "Naw, I bugged her to let me have it. And after I started, I just couldn't stop, which has led to my budget busting habit 40 years later." Me: " Heck, ...

The basting sauce is Makers Mark bourbon, Honey, Butter, garlic, and Salt and pepper, With White pepper added because I prefer it. I say Since he talks a lot, the answer is obvious, but it was only obvious to my french speaking Son Corey. he figured the name for my new kitten due to his habit of using his claws (swords) meowing a lot, (pure poetry! at least to a cat) and an obvious affection for noses, his name obviously became Cyrano de MotorMouth. You all remember barsnacks the cat. Link Meet his distant cousin from West Texas Pre-attack on my nose He's pretty smart except when he feels the need to attack...

This is my new Gateway 21 in Monitor~HDTV that I am using on my main computer for internet access and gaming. Here is the story. Gateways description is here: Gateway FPD2185W 21" Widescreen High-Definition LCD Flat-Panel Display.I had been hunting for a new monitor to replace my Viewsonic 19 in flat panel CRT. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it but due to space limitations in my new apartment and on my compact computer desk I was thinking about a 19 in LCD. Then as i was wan...

Yes, Virginia, Contrary to Mr. Disney, Bambi is better in the crock pot then in the woods or jumping in front of your car on a 2 Lane highway. Todays feast starts with a venison shoulder roast recieved from our resident Math Geek, the Zetan. I figured that bambi would be best browned in olive oil with crushed garlic, white and black pepper, then placed in the crock pot with beef stock. So that is where mr. deer is now. He will be accompanied by two pounds of small red potatos, 1 pound ...

This is our 18 pound Orange Tabby, His name is Ahn Ju Gam, which in Korean means appetizer fixings; he got this name 8 years ago when my wife decided he seemed cool even though she professed to hate cats, humph! Although 18 pounds seems large, he was not fat although he did know how to throw his weight around. (Just ask the dog!) Link I show him in his full-sized glory since over the past months he had been experiencing large scale weight loss and incontinence, (Very annoyin...

Since I finally got the last of the Yule presents sent off this afternoon, I figured I might post a quick blog to prove that it really was me leaving comments scattered around JU. Here they are in Marengo Cave in southern Indiana sorry about the red eyes, his are bright blue. Here they are clowning around with me in f...

I saw this little aninamted GIF on a HALFLIFE 2 forum and couldn't help but think about a Korean Folk Song that our instructors at Defense Language Institute made us learn about a racoon who was fairly well endowed. Then I saw this thing and nearly lost it. Click here Link PS: If you can top this one please try.

Since Valve, and Vivendi have finally figured out who gets what money from on-line only sales of Valves newest game, they graciously allowed us to purchase HalfLife 2 at a local retailer or on-line through Valves on-line system; STEAM. Now for the past few years those folks who love the game of Counterstrike have used Valve as a way to update content and find servers, etc. The complaint was always, "Steam Sucks!" And to be truthful, it really did at times, especially when it came to dete...
